题目：Transgenic rabbits for translational research

Atherosclerosis is still the No.1 killer of human beings in the world and it is important to find an efficient therapeutics to treat this disease. Because atherosclerosis is a disease caused by both environmental and genetic factors, it is not so easy to find any animal models which can exhibit all pathophysiological characteristics in human. Our laboratory has been using transgenic rabbits to study many facets of human atherosclerosis. In this lecture, I will give an overview of recent progress in atherosclerosis research with emphasis of transgenic rabbit models and their applications in translational research. 

【主讲人简介】

范江霖，日本山梨大学大学院综合研究部医学分子病理学教研室主任教授，中国自然科学基金海外评审员，教育部长江学者教授海外评审委员会委员，美国心脏学会院士，日本动脉硬化学会国际委员会理事，国际转基因家兔研究会会长。

邀请人：周德敏教授，刘振明副研究员

研究领域：分子病理学、动脉硬化、炎症、糖尿病、转基因动物模型。

工作经历：

1986年毕业与中国医科大学，公派留学至日本佐贺医科大学，先后获硕士、博士学位；

1992年至1995年于美国加州大学旧金山分校Gladstone研究所就读博士后；

1995年至2006年于日本筑波大学基础医学系病理学、先端学际领域研究中心担任课题负责人；

2006年至今，日本山梨大学大学院医学工学综合研究部分子病理学教研室，担任主任教授。

科研成果：

主要研究方向为动脉硬化的发生发展机制，已经发表SCI论文150多篇，其中包括：Clin Invest, PNAS, Circulation, Circulation Res, ATVB, Pharmacol Ther, J Mol Cell Bio, Am J Pathol等杂志，已承担并完成多项科研成果，获奖十余项。
